I prefer sailing, but, when motoring am intrigued by how easily driven catamaran hulls are. When not sailing we love putt-putting in brown water, canals and such. Usually at about 4 knots in our current monohull (going slow, but why hurry?) I'd love to know what fuel consumption is like on a Tiki 30 at low speeds in flat water if anyone has numbers on this. Thanks and cheers, Colin

Hello
I can't answer your question (still building aTiki 30) but
- Wharram suggest a 10 HP four stroke motor
- Boatsmith try a smaller motor and it was not enough
- If I well remember, I read about a 7 knots cruising speed
- a lot of Tiki 30 owner use 15 HP motor (4 strokes)
- small 4 stroke motor (10-15HP) may not work well in brown wather (amazon river for expl)
I will have more precise consumption informaton at the end of this year!
