tiki 26 coppercoat
I'm trying to work out the costs of coppercoating my tiki 26. Does anyone have a reasonably accurate estimation of the wetted area of a tiki 26. Or perhaps you've done it and remember how much you bought? Its v. expensive and i don't want to over or under buy. Thanks, John

Re: tiki 26 coppercoat
Coppercoat estimated 22 sq m, which looks a bit high to me.

Re: tiki 26 coppercoat
Hi - I have just copper coated my tiki - not sure I got it right but I used 4 of their packs ie one per coat. I dont think they realsie quite how slim hulled tiki is. Some tips: make sure you have at least two of you...each batch goes off bang on 45 minutes Buy cheap plastic buckets to mix in you definitely need to do 4 coats - i ran out of time and so only did 3... its ok but not ideal. so dont panic if it still looks patchy/mess after two coats buy their their rollers but note they are over size - so buy their holder as well (I had to duck tape to get mine to work..) I applied in 17c and rigged a tarpaulin - all seemed fine copper coat couldnt have been more supportive. good luck Johnny
