Tiki 8ms Delivered
We have delivered both new Tiki *ms to the Marriott Beach Resort in Marco Island, FL. The hotel's captains are ecstatic over them. They sail and look well, and are very comfortable for their guests.

Re: Tiki 8ms Delivered
They look just beautiful David, your workmanship is impeccable as usual...and I guess the bermudan rig is an easier sell to charter situations; after all that's what sailors are used to. I can't help but wonder if you ever had the chance to try the wingsail vs bermudan rig in a side by side performance test as I recall you were planning to do. With everything else nearly equal, that has to be a defining experiment that few others would have the opportunity to carry out. -Alf

Re: Tiki 8ms Delivered
I would very much like to do a side by side comparison. If you would be so kind as to sign right here on the dotted line we will begin your Tiki 8m with the standard wingsail rig. This will be a great test. Maybe we should make it an extended test and spend 2 weeks in the Abacos :D

Re: Tiki 8ms Delivered
Ha Ha, ok, my brain fart. I mistakenly thought your wingsail rigged Tiki "Abaco" was also an 8m but I see she is a 30 footer so there goes the fair comparison idea. My memory seems to be getting a bit threadbare in patches, perhaps to match my hair. But 2 weeks in the Abacos sounds great....maybe after I launch my T38 next year! Keep up the good work, someone has to offer an alternative to the ugly plumb bowed, perverse transomed luxury charter cats.... -Alf
