Antifoul while afloat!
I have a large cat I take care of parked at my dock and had a brainwave on how to re-paint Cookies antifoul without hauling out. I used a long rope strop attached to fwd and aft beams inboard of one hull and attached it to the double purchase mainsail halyard of the larger cat. Worked a treat :D Guess we all need friends with larger cats sometimes  Cheers Rory & Cookie

Re: Antifoul while afloat!
A couple of years ago I was visiting the marina and there was a guy changing a masthead light in a 30 foot keeler . He'd taken the halyard and tied it to the dock and then winched the boat to about 85 degrees of heel so the light was at easy working height . I stood well back since it looked like a disaster of some kind was about to happen .

Excellent technique! That's what friends are for  I've seen old photographs of old sailing ships "careened" over to do bottom work. . .
