Cold and rainy weather this last week, so I brought the jib sheets home and put eye-splices in them:

This allows me to use a soft shackle to attach them to the jib clew. I have seen this done using a short piece of line with an eye-splice and a manrope knot; the "upgraded" version using the 12-strand single braid simply allows opening and closing due to the adjustable eye.
Quick, easy connection without a piece of steel to whack you, should the jib flail.
