Stolen / missing Wharram
Richard Jeschek Has reported his Tangaroa as stolen by a delivery skipper. He believes the boat is on the East coast US or Caribbean. Last known location Miami. The delivery skipper is named Robert Edinger. Richard can be reached at 0034-663-085717 David http://www.boatsmithfl.com

Any updates on this? Is there a reason it's thought stolen as opposed to lost at sea? Nice looking Tangaroa.

Re: Stolen / missing Wharram
This story gets stranger all the time. This boat was for sale in late 2007. The owner wanted $25,000, I made an offer of $2500 and was somewhat relieved that he declined. There was a fair deal of rot at that time, the beam lashings were extremely hokie and the spars were a joke. There was standing water in the hulls. The boat did not look ready for offshore work at all. The picture Richard has put out shows the boat cleaned up some but with the same spars and rigging, no sails bent on. Now the new owner has contracted with a perv to deliver the boat. The new owner can't come to this country because of drug trafficking convictions if I understand it correctly. The whole situation is real weird. you can read more on the Latitude/Attitude forum if you like. David http://www.boatsmithfl.com
