I recently looked at a neglected Tiki 31 but decided it was too big for me. The owner is a widow whose late husband built the boat; she wants to avoid seeing it rot away in the boatyard.
She's keen to sell it to anyone who wants it and will donate the proceeds to the cancer charity that looked after her late husband at the end of his life. I've offered to sell it for her, as she is internet illiterate (her words!) and works full time.
I havent seen plans for this boat, but it has sails, anchors, etc. The owner is not a sailor, and doesnt know much about the boat. I had a careful look over the boat, and there are areas which are not sheathed in glass cloth, like the beams.
My question is, which bits of this boat should be sheathed in glass cloth according to the plans?
Also, if anyone wants a Tiki 31 in the SW of England in need of what seems to be mostly cosmetic work and a new port skeg, let me know.
Richard
