Looking for info on Tangaroa MK 1 "Faoileag"

Hi Community,

I have bought old-style Tangaroa MK1 named "Faoileag" (non official name "Rose"). No information about year of built and no information on this project at all. I would like to refit it and to update it to Tangaroa Mk4. Hulls are sound and all is working well.

Previous owner told me that this boat was built in Scotland on 1978-1980. In British registry I found name of Mr. McKinlay who was owner.

May be someone has any information about Scottish Tangaroa mk1 boat owned by McKinlay named "Faoileag".

This boat travelled on North Sea than appears at Gibraltar, than goes to Italy and finished in Fethiye (Turkey).

To Wharram's officials:

is it it possible to get any plans "study" or "build" on Tangaroa mk1? I can't understand complete difference of mk1 and mk4 besides width and cabins height. Can I use mk4 plans to repair and refit mk1 boat?

Thanks to everybody for any possible info !!!

Re Faoileag

Faoileag was built by my father Tony Perridge in Edinburgh. She was completed in i think 1976, certainly no later than 1977 because we moved to the Highlands then. I'll ask him to log in here.
