Too big for a couple? Pahi 52 Islander 55 Tiki 46

My wife and I are planning an early retirement now that our daughter is no longer at home.  I was wondering if any couples had experience sailing any of the boats mentioned in the subject line.  I know they are on the large size, but it will be a full time live aboard and I will be working on it for awhile, so we will need extra space.
Thank you,
Cos

Larger vessels for a couple.

I think it is OK--but it depends on the rig you are using, whether or not it is self-tacking, how quickly can it be dropped and secured, and how much money you are prepared to spend in maintenance and initial purchase price.  The bigger the boat the more income one needs to keep it sailing after that initial lightening of the bank accounts on purchase.

A vessel that is easy to sail can be larger.   I like a rig that makes sailing easy, and which furls quickly and safely and to which lightning protection is easily added, and which rides storms safely.

So yes--any of those boats you mention.
