Windvane steering on a Tiki 30
I will trawl the old site for past posts but was wondering what other Tiki 30 owners have done. We are not keen on putting something on the outboard of the hulls as it is vulnerable when coming alongside. We have a strong beam across the stern for netting which we could use as part of an attachement point, but are concerned where to put the forward support to stabalise it as if it goes to a hull there may be a problem with flexing between hull and beam. I do not think we will have enough space on top of the cabins to fit the wharram solution. Thanks for any help.

Robert, Beg, borrow, or steal the Belcher book that Rory spoke of in the tiki 21 post. I found a copy online a few years ago, and it is the most comprehensive book on windvane steering imaginable. And, it comes with plans for several designs, suitable for many different craft.

Hi Kim, Actually managed to get a new copy of the book, must have been a reprint in the recent past. Robert
