I am considering a Tiki 30 for fishing off Mozambique coastline and wondered what the negatives would be to a wooden slate aft deck to fish off?

I have one Tiki 30 and you just need to build this deck with ligth wood, the problem is the weigth, look the boat side, the water line, and look photos of another tiki 30, compare the boats. I build one cockpit diferent of original plans, and add some weigth, if i wanna one aft deck I will need put out some things...
