Re: trimming gaff rig
The peak halyard will have almost all the tension- try pinching and hardening until some vertical creases appear, then bear off and sheet in. something like that will lead in the right direction. There are some good posts on the old forum about trimming the gaff

For the moment it seems to still be available for reading only, I had it bookmarked and the link still works http://www.wharram.eu/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?board=Tiki I have no idea if they intend to keep it available

Re: trimming gaff rig
Hi Y'all, Thank you Casey for the address of the old forum, there's a wealth of information in there. I have a baggy top third onmy mainsail, despite bearing down as hard as possible inthe peak halliard. I'm going to reconnect it to the end of the gaff to see if this helps and I will report back later, Regards, Jackie.

Re: trimming gaff rig
Hi Jackie, We had a similar problem on our Tiki 30 until we re-tightened the outhaul on the gaff. That fixed it. Good luck, Bob
